A New Day

Often when I am about to share a new painting I feel those doubts trickling in.
So much effort goes into every stroke, every layer, choice of color in each spot. Does it blend, but does it stand out? Is the composition balanced yet is it unique? Does this painting represent me & my style, yet have a story of its own.
When I paint I tap somewhere deep into my soul, the place where otherwise is untouched, left hidden, even from myself. So sharing means I am exposing areas of myself even I don’t fully know, baring my soul.
Still, time and again I choose to share and remain vulnerable. Why? Hmm, I may need to tap deep & listen, maybe start a new painting, the strokes may bring answers to the surface from deep inside my soul.
